More Like Jesus!

December is here… already!

We hope you and your families have had a joyful time so far as we lead up to celebrating the birth of our Savior. We are not celebrating the birth of a baby in a manger. We are celebrating the birth of our Savior. We have tried to keep that in the forefront of our kiddos’ heads.

It has been a hectic series of weeks. As you probably know from previous updates, we closed on our house the last week of October and moved out the last week of November. We are currently in a rental until we get to 100% support and head to Michigan. The process of selling our house made us question the sanity of those who enjoy buying and flipping houses! The craziness has settled down now (relatively speaking). We are settled in (mostly) our new home and gearing up for Christmas.

As we look back at the past several months, we are so grateful to see how God has shown His faithfulness to provide for us— in ways beyond providing 63% of our monthly support so far. He provided a buyer for our house at the time we needed one. He provided a house for us to move into at the exact time we needed when all MY plans fell through. He provided a place for us to store our things until we move into a permanent home. He has provided us an incredible team of prayer supporters whose prayers have impacted our family in many ways (the phrase “I’ll pray for you” Is so much more than a Christian cliche). He has provided a team of financial partners through whom He is moving us closer and closer to serving full-time with Life Action.

He also, in His grace, provided a situation through which He could work in our hearts through this whole support-raising process to make us more like Jesus. And, seriously, what is anything ultimately about if not that? We pray that God will do the same for you and your family as well. Whether through various blessings or maybe even trying times- may you be more and more like Jesus every day!

As much as He has already done, we know He isn’t finished working. One, because we still aren’t totally like Jesus yet. And two, because we aren’t at 100% yet.

We look forward to seeing how He will continue to provide for our needs so that we can finally serve full-time at Life Action and how He will continue working in our lives to make us more and more like Jesus.
